I sure want to support the Republicans in Nov. 2011 but where does the party, as a whole, stand?

What is the platform they are running on?

Who is the leader of the party?

Is each state being left to their own to decide what platform they are running on?

In 1858 Abraham Lincoln read a speech that included the following;
“‘A house divided against itself cannot stand.’(Mark 3:25)

Well, Republicans, doesn’t that still make sense today? Perhaps you should get your combined act together and get the party together. I will bet that if you do you will really take over the house and senate and get us back on the right track.

Comments anyone?

“We the people” seems to be a term that many politicians have forgotten.
What that means to me is that every person elected to any office by a vote of the general population works for, not against, the will of that population.

The only two people elected to hold Federal Government positions, that are elected by the general population of the entire country are the President and the Vice President. Basically what the people are saying, when they do vote for the President and Vice President is; “we trust you to protect us and provide us with what we want, putting aside your own personal ideas and agendas”.

I guess I almost got to wandering a little bit. Sorry!

These are my thoughts about a platform (with input from a great many people):
1 – Defend our country from illegal invaders at all costs and with all the strength necessary.
2 – Become self sufficient in terms of energy. We have the resources and we should use them to better protect our country.
3 – Repeal the Healthcare Law as it is not in the best interest of our country, economically and national security.
4 – Eliminate the Internal Revenue Service and establish a flat tax or fair tax.
5 – Eliminate the misinterpretation of natural born citizens being anyone born by any parents within the borders of the United States.
6 – Strengthen our national defense.
7 – Get rid of the ACLU.
8 – Amend the Constitution regarding the separation of Church and State. This country was founded on a strong belief in God and should remain that way.
9 – If health care is to be made better, get it out of the hands of the Federal Government. Take a step by step approach and slowly begin to implement such items as cross state border insurance coverage; reduce health care costs by banning drug companies from advertising in the media (much like cigarette advertisements) and so on.
10 – ASK the population what we want and act on it quickly and efficiently.
11 – Remove the ability to add additional provisions to a bill that have nothing to do with that bill.
12 – Add an amendment to the Constitution to establish English as our National Language.
13 – Create term limits for all position, within the Federal Government, that are voted on by the Citizens of the United States.

These are not necessarily in any order and will be sorted out and added to as time goes on.

Comments – ThankYou.
